For the best results, we recommend using isopropyl alcohol with a spoonful of salt—it’s one of the most effective DIY cleaning methods. Just fill your piece with about ½ cup of isopropyl alcohol, add the salt, and a bit of hot water if you’d like. Plug both openings, then carefully shake to loosen any buildup. Most residue should clear right out, and anything left usually rinses away.
Make sure to rinse thoroughly—about 3 minutes, or by filling and emptying 8–10 times—so you’re left with a clean piece and no salty aftertaste.
